Since his first project "ENCIN :Devil'z Advocate" Mr. Droop has proven that he is ready to dominate the RnB World. It just doesn't stop there though so if you're picturing the average cup-caking RnB singer, you're in for a massive rude awakening. The Monsta also can spit a high powered 16 bars after lacing a soulful hook over a self-produced track undoubtedly giving you an eargasm to remember... and doesn't even read a note of music. Can you say "triple threat"?
Born July 15, 1979 Adam Rivera (Mr. Droop) has been expressing himself trough music since the age of four, singing solo's in front of large audiences in his hometown of Elizabeth, NJ.
"I knew then, that I wanted to be a star"
In 1989 Droop moved to Hayward, CA and began performing in various talent shows at Tyrell Elementary (Hayward) and all throughout the Bay showing folks that the stage is his playground. Moving to Union City, CA just 2 miles south of the Stack, Droop connected with fellow neighborhood homies Taboo of San Francisco and Dreno of Richmond forming the group ENCIN. The album "Devil'z Advocate" dropped soon thereafter under self owned label-Game face Records equipped with street bangers "Remain a G-feat. Louie Loc", "In My Neigborhood-feat. Totally Insane's Ad Kapone", It's Okay", and "Backstabbaz-feat. E.P.A.'s own Mac & A.K." all produced by the young Puerto Freakin. From there he has appeared on numerous compilation albums whether singing hooks or rapping including, "The World is a Ghetto-Ghetto Line Ent.", "Bay Area Playaz 3", "Support ya Local Drug Dealerz-Most Vicious Ent.", and "Held Up", the movie soundtrack dropping harmonies over the Sean T produced banger and title track "Held Up" featuring Bay Area legends San Quinn and JT Tha Bigga Figga. Other appearances include "Mac & A.K. - Way 2 Saucy-feat. Mac Mall", "Mac & A.K.- City of Strangers"... well it's obvious that EPA City's twins have definitely recognized the talented youngsta and knew from jump that he would definitely be a Monsta in the game.
" Mac & A.K. is like my big brothaz from another Mother yadadamean!! They embraced me early on in the game when I was at a major turning point in my career and gave me the direction that I needed. They been had a major deal already with gold records to show for it and took the time to educate me on the in's and out's, and the do's and don't do's. There ain't to many real niggaz like that in this business and there ain't nothin I wouldn't do for em. "
It was now mid 2002 and Droop was about to make the most influencing move yet.
" I was on the phone with Mac and he was like, yo I got this Latin cat that I been networking with who would probably wanna fuck with you. He heard some of the shit we did and was feelin it. "
The Latino he was referring to was Mr. Kee of San Francisco. Droop and Frisco's Latin Boss immediately connected and began recording, completing Mr. Kee's- Latin Plague slapper with "Hydro" and following up with "F.E.- What We Do". From writing and producing the single "September", to also featuring on ten other tracks as the only male RnB singer on the entire album it was now known that Droop wasn't another Nate Dogg.
This boy creates his own shit from scratch and has all the right ingredients proving he is more than capable and deserving of taking his talent nationwide and joining the illustrious ranks of the few RnB Legends to transcend all boundaries.
So keep your ear to the street and to the bedroom door because there is definitely a Monsta loose... and everyone is talking about it.found this layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: MyHotComments
