Sick

Connected to music in one way or another for as long as he can remember, Marcin Sucharski has been producing music for 10 years now. At school and college he sang and played the drums in rock bands, before going on to provide vocals for hip-hop outfit Dreamland. Then, together with Tom Horn, he founded Horn/Sick, who performed all over Poland. One of their tracks appeared on Nowika's „Leniwe Serwuje Nowika” compilation and other tunes they composed with assorted jazz musicians are awaiting release. His music has been aired on various radio stations including Poland's Radiostacja and Trójce, and London's House.FM.Together with DJ Haze Marcin formed Moon Sequence, whose tunes will soon be coming out on their own PIEROGI RECORDS (formed with the intention of promoting up-and-coming talent in the world of electronic music, with particular emphasis on Polish producers and musicians).Years of production have resulted in a wide array of compositions which embrace a miriad of different styles: from jazz and soul to deep house and minimal electronica. This variety of sounds reflects the diverse sources of his musical inspiration and is a reflection of his sprawling record collection, amongst which can be found jazz pearls from the legendary label Polish Jazz. He is a huge fan of Zbigniew Namyslowski (particularly such tunes as 'Winobranie' and 'Kujawiak Goes Funky') and early Komeda, Trzaskowski or Novi Singers; music that has also been explored by Jazzanova. Marcin's sound is a fusion of electronica and jazz, though he is keen not to stick to one category of music, preferring to remain open to all new musical experiences.
