About Me

>>>>> i was born fifteen years ago to a family of musicians. a singer mum, and guitarist and record producer dad with a string of releases and gigs. i picked up a guitar at the age of eight, and went on to study classical music. later inspired by b.b.king, buddy guy and loud noises coming from my dad’s studio i also discovered electric guitar >>>>> couple of years went by and i begun weekly visits to blues and jazz jam sessions around london, where i met and had a chance to play with some of the heavyweights of the scene such as earl green, abram wilson and gary crosby >>>>> at eleven i was accepted to pimlico specialist music school, where i continued my classical guitar studies with prof. parsons, and took up jazz piano with an accomplished musician and scholar andria vicari. i also joined a school jazz band with which i perform regular gigs. since two thousand and six i also study jazz guitar with renowned session player david okumu. >>>>> i did jazz workshops at blackheath concert halls with issie barratt, annie whitehead and andria vicari in twenty o’four and o’five >>>> during the second year of my studies i formed a jazz piano sextet called minus good. that band became a good platform to develop my arranging skills (including gigs at bolivar hall in london’s west end and tate britain gallery) >>>>> early this year i had an opportunity to record with some luminaries, such as earl green and pee wee ellis, which opened up a whole new studio territory for me >>>>> last summer i took part in the jazz summer school in leeds, where i met and performed with de la crème of british jazz, mark lockheart, nic france, liam noble, alec dankworth, rowland sutherland, anders bergcrantz, tim garland and issie barratt (as well as some of britain's finest young jazz musicians) >>>>> last summer i also went to beijing, china with the well known carnival band kinetika, to represent london in the 2008 junior olympics. as well as participating with kinetika in the london jazz festival, (which received excellent reviews). >>>>> check clips of some of my performances on you tube >>>>>
