I am 39 Years old and have been drumming for 24 years. I certainly wouldn't compare myself to Neil Peart or Thomas lang but I've always enjoyed having a drum seat in one band or another consistently during my tenure as a stick slinger.Through the late middle to late 80's I played in High school band and chorus, (Even earning 2 credits as a drum teacher my senior year). And I played in several off school bands, as well as church worship bands. During this time I enjoyed the benefits of being a hired gun for musicians passing through, which gave me the benefit of learning to hear what was needed quickly to support the artist and their music. A skill that served me well the past 2 decades. In the 90's I played primarily with the "Godsword band" recording 4 c.d's and playing from Camden, New Jersey to Lagrange, Maine. As well as playing in the Calvary Chapel Worship band in Bangor, Maine for 9 years. Also enjoying the benefits again as a hired gun from time to time. This decade however has been plagued with bad decisions, up's and down's, failures and blessings. Godsword disbanded in 2000, I also lost my mom in october of 2000. I lost my ministry as a pastor due to bad choices which affected my job, marriage, etc. My daughter was born in July 2002. Things seemed to take an upward swing. After a 3 year hiatus from the drums, (At least playing with bands) I was called to play a benefit concert which went well, and out of that my next band "Milestone" was born. We recorded 1 c.d. which was released with my 1st solo c.d. "A Drummers voice". 2 years later I left that band and formed my own band "Retirement Plan". We enjoyed playing out fairly often until my pride reared it's ugly head again plagueing my life with bad choices, the disolving of my marriage and my band, deaths of my father and sister within 18 mos of each other. In June 2007, life started a permanent uphill swing. I met Michelle who helped me get back on my feet, didn't judge me and took me for who I was. I attended counselling, worked through some life support workbooks, and took an interest in music again as well as writing. Now in mid 2008 I just released my 3rd solo cd, a compilation of a few songs from previous c.d's and a few new ones. And in June of 2008 my 2nd Daughter, "Lindsey Renee" was born. And now in early 2009, I am getting ready to teach again (Drums) and am laying down the thunder for "Full Count" a classic rock cover band, My first ever cover band actually. Things are looking up, and God is Faithful, even when we are faithless.Discography:
