About Me

While I did everything right academically, I did everything wrong financially and quickly realized that the mix of a high GPA and a low FICO score didn't make for a winning combination in the real world.
Shortly after graduation I found myself living in a one bedroom apartment in New York City with an impressive address (Central Park West) and a very depressing set of circumstances.
I was unemployed in my career of choice, financially frustrated, and on the verge of declaring bankruptcy.
As I saw it, I had only one choice since quitting wasnâ€™t an option. I started my first company more than 10 years ago and used it as a catalyst in which I turned frustration into action, financial ignorance into financial literacy and my mess became my message.
Today, as The Financial Fitness Coach, I have written books on personal finance, speak nationwide and Internationally, regularly appear in the media as a financial expert, and coach clients using my Beyond Money Principles designed to teach them how to go from financially frustrated to financially fit in every age and stage of their lives.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Face it - money is the last taboo subject.
We can freely talk sex, politics, religion and a whole host of sensitive topics but when it comes to talking about money (how much we make, how much we spend, how much we owe - you name it) we clam up, shut down and get down right offended.
There are three things I know for sure:
1. Money is NOT the root of all evil as so many often misquote
and
2. Money in and of itself is neither the sole problem nor the whole solution
