Although in some cultures I am the age to be an adult, my inner child has found a place to hide and stay. I realize it when I watch cartoons, or find figures in the trees or clouds; when I have a candy or ice cream, or in the way I long for Christmas. Sometimes it gets bored since I don't have a Barbie doll anymore.Adultness arrived slowly. I could say, I hardly felt it came, I just woke up, one day realizing I had a car, a job, and a paycheck at the end of the month. I know it has settle down in me when I am at work and have to dress nicely and talk politely; when I lost my temper at the traffic; or when doing housework.I kept a piece of my teens on purpose, because I like getting all excited because I was given flowers or a gorgeous boy picking me up. I also like crying without having to explain why, but if the crying hurts I don't like being watched.Sometimes the child, the teenager and the adult collide....those times iare when I think I am about to lose my mental sanity at all. When that happens I have to cling to reality as much as I can, but it only takes some time until they decide where they'll be without bothering each other. After that life goes on, as it always has.
