Whats that noise? Watch out! Karen just landed on all stand up comedy stages in LA! Thats right, shes THAT big!
Karen has graced many stages as actress and comedienne.
She has hosted shows at Josefina Lopez’ BHLIFE film festival. You might have seen her at The Whisky hosting Bobbie Burlesque’s Valentines Burlesque show. She also performed with Bobbie Oliver at the Ice House in Pasadena.
She was a member of an improv touring group called Los Cuchi Coos with Richard Villa and the infamous improv group The Funny Bones performing at the Ha Ha comedy club and many Hilton hotels.
Her mother is very proud that she spends her days doing comedy…lol
You can surrently hear her as various voices on the Homies Hip Hop Show on LATV tues and Thurs at 9pm!
She has worked on comedy pieces such as Quinceanera, the musical, Chavez Ravine, 365 days 365 plays and The Vagina Monologues. She has traveled performing comedy at venues in and throughout China and Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
She just completed a comedic pilot for NBC’s diversity project called Good Ol’ Boys. THE GOOD OL’ BOYS, a web series, is in production this month and will be one of the first original series launched by NBC for it’s site www.DotComedy.com.
She has acted in various films including her third feature film, Morita Hija de Jesus where she plays the comedic relief as Hermana Rosario. This years’ other films include feature film Interstate and Final Song and short film Revelaciones.
Karen has performed her one woman show entitled Ser at venues such as Casa 0101 and upcoming at The Empty Stage Comedy Theatre-STAY TUNED!.
Ser is a comedy where she explores the clashes between latino cultures in Los Angeles
