True to the traditions of old all our beer matures in custom made large oak aging vats.All Leelanau Brewing Company beers are aged in 100% new French oak. A new handmade custom LBC 1200L French oak barrel has arrived from our European coopers and is aging our new Petoskey Pale Ale as you read this. Another custom made barrel is underway..Our headquarters are situated on 18 acres of family owned land located two miles south of Leland, Michigan. Our bed and breakfast, ancient black walnut groves, cherry orchards, pear groves and our future brewing site are all within earshot of Lake Michigan. *Our headquarters are not yet open to the public.*Our on-site brewery is being designed with the help of Ron Jeffries to resemble an old world european farmhouse brewery.
