Jessica Dean

Hailing from the dirt roads of the Florida panhandle, Jessica Dean grew up listening to her father's favorites - anything from Marvin Gaye to Conway Twitty, from CCR to Don Williams, and everything in between. She played the violin all through her school years, but found her voice after joining her junior college's Theatre program. From there, she kept her dream of singing, but went on to get a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from Florida State. After graduation, she finally moved up to Nashville with a thousand bucks in her pocket and a dream.
After piddling around and making a few demos, Jessica was approached by the Artist Development Network. They arranged for her to write with top Nashville songwriters and record with Tony Smith of Two Monkeys Productions, who's produced anyone from Brian McKnight to Dolly Parton.
Jessica's soulful blend of country, rock, and blues is hard to find in the age of country crossovers and "studio magic." Her sound has often been compared to that of Wynonna Judd and Melissa Etheridge, with maybe a touch of K.T. Oslin.
