Awkward is the new smooth.

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator I am a walking paradox in SO many different ways. I'm trying this new thing lately called "straightforwardness about who I am" (a little intense... that's me). I recently cut 8 inches off my hair for the first time since high school. I donated it to Locks of Love (they make wigs for kids with cancer). I am an architect and a trained classical singer who occasionally likes to sing the blues. I am fiercely independent, but like to spend lots of time with the people I love.... in fact, I'll go so far as to say that occasionally I NEED social interaction. I exercise minimally three times a week (rowing, running, yoga, occasionally swimming), but that does not mean I am skinny. I am fit. I can be an utter pain in the tush sometimes (I can tend towards the occasional "I'm smarter than you" lecture, which even annoys me when I do it, ESPECIALLY since it isn't always true in the least), and sometimes I can get a tad bit obsessive/anxiety stricken about work and/or relationships. I occasionally curse, and when I'm stressed, I'll smoke a clove or two (but I don't really inhale... I just like the flavor. It calms me). I am a snob about having lived in Paris (because I feel that I fit in there better than anywhere) and am an even bigger snob about my education. I don't think I'm cute, though I've been told I am... I think I'm more in the attractive/handsome/beautiful bracket. I'm also not "nice"... in fact, I hate that word... nice... it makes one seem so overly bland or sugary.... like a cavity on a bad day. I am kind, giving (to those who are deserving) and I try to keep a clear head about what's going on around me. My friends think I'm "quirky", but if you ask them, they'll probably also tell you that's part of the reason they love me. Despite all these characteristics (I refuse to call them faults, for they are a part of me), I am an utterly loyal friend and lover. I adore my family and would do anything for them. I am extremely protective of my younger sister and my two best girl friends. And when I fall in love, I will fall pretty hard and completely, even though I find it hard to trust people sometimes. But I'm learning... slowly but surely. Baby steps, people. It's all about the baby steps.

People who are talkative, who keep their word, love to explore, have things they want to accomplish in life, are not obsessed with image, and who will accept the faults in others because faults ARE, after all, what make us all interesting.
