About Me

Hi. My name is John Guffey. I have been playing rock'n'roll for 23 years. I used to play lead guitar in Portland-based rock bands Death Valley and Lovely. I am currently a guitar instructor at the Portland branch of the Paul Green School of Rock, where I indoctrinate young children in the Six String Dark Arts. I am currently bandless, for the first time in a looooooooong time. I've been expending my boundless musical energy by giving private lessons (which I only do for free, and only for deserving students, so holler at me if you fit the bill), building effects pedals, and practicing my ass off. I'm a gear queer. I have great friends. I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
