The Steve Capitanich Band is made up of Larry Kaley, Steve Capitanich, Mike Ash and Rob Brant. Our sound is a mix of classic delta blues, rock, jazz and a little country here and there. Steve has played with bands around the foothills for the last 30 years, he's been with The Heat, Timbrewolf, and played with Wingnut Adams for a stint. He has a catalog of original songs that spans those 3 decades, and a repertoire of covers that always pleases the dance crowd and music lovers alike.
Larry Kaley has played bass and guitar in several diverse bands from Oregon to the Amador foothills. Larry cut his teeth on classic metal bands like Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, and Zepplin, and now is a rock solid back up to Steve in the blues, and jazz geners.
Mike Ash has played piano all over the world (literally), he has traveled as part of a cruiseline entertainment band, and has played music for the past 45 years with countless bands. Mike adds a soulful, honky tonk feel to Steve's music and compliments the band with his piano as well as his voice.
Rob Brant started playing drums at the Underground in Berekely in the mid ninties. He had the opportunity to open for a lot of up and coming bands that would make their way through Berekely. Moving back to Calaveras county in 1997 he became a member of the house band at the short lived Marcia's on Main Street in Jackson with Members Jeff Lazerinni and Dave Vasquez (of Pueblo Rooftop). From 2004-2006 he backed up Rock Bottom, a rock/blues band.
