Emily Fiatagata Memea is my igoa (name). In the book of life I was the Queen in some earlier century Elizabeth was a Queen too. Not to be mistaken I am the “Teine”. I am whole lot of spirit trapped in a body of 5’11 & 150lb girl. I love laughing and believe every being on this world was meant to live for a purpose and it is our destiny to discover this purpose. My long straight colorful hair is my trademark. I love the way it bounces when I run and caresses my ears as if whispering a secret. My eyes are peaceful and powerful; matching the shades of my colorful hair. I am a Pacific Islander 29 year old girl and my proud brown skin won’t lie. I don’t like being characterized for an ethnicity or for an age group. I’m still figuring out who I am but I’ll give you a taste of my life, my thoughts, and what makes me myself. I grew up in the tiny beautiful village of Amanave, A-Town. A-Town where the moon shines brighter and larger than anywhere else and the moekolo’s visit your window at night…..lol…. This is the town that taught me the importance of enjoying everyday and not taking anything for granted. In this village the sunset would engulf my house and the sun would lure me from my bed every morning for 100 years. The days of my childhood were spent in nice and beautiful environment with the laughter of my parents forever decorating my memories. This border town also taught me the lesson of my skin color. I thanked God every morning for letting me proudly say I am from Amanave Pago Pago, Tututila Amerika Samoa.
