Influences:DJ Daz has been a household name in the club scene and music industry for about 10 years, starting his deejay career over 14 years ago doing high school dances, weddings and birthday parties. As his skill improved and his confidence grew, Daz started entering deejay competitions, winning sixteen out of eighteen. He has now graduated to much bigger things. He has played at some of Hollywood’s hottest night clubs, such as Ivar, A.D. (After Dark) and The Argyle, just to name a few. Other clubs DJ Daz has has performed at have been The Century Club in Century City, Q’s, The Muse, and Moose Meglacotys in Old Town Pasadena. He has also deejayed for some of the biggest names in Hip Hop, like Crooked Stilo, Akwid, Sugar Free David Rolas, and more. While on tour with Crooked Stilo, Daz and the guys travelled though Spain, staying there for one month. This allowed Daz to deejay at some of the hottest club out there, doing twenty nine shows and deejaying at every single club as a special guess deejay. Other out-of-town gigs were Miami, Indiana, North Carolina, and others. He has made many TV appearances on Mix to the Max, LATV Live and Telemundo. He has been a member of one of LA’s highly recognized record pool, Cali Kingz, better known as Ghetto Baby. He was one of the first among his peers to play Latin Hip Hop and Reggaeton, not knowing how big it was going to become. Now that it’s as big as it is, he is recognized by other deejays in the industry as being one of the first deejays to support the movement. Daz has been a part of the mix tape scene since 2000, putting out over thirty five mix tapes. One of his biggest projects has been the 2005 release of Música Urbana Lo Mejor de Hip Hop en Español on Fonovisa Records, which sold over 80,000 copies. Música Urbana was a mix of Latin Hip GHop and Reggaeton, featuring artists such as Tego, Akwid, Locura Terminal and Noelia. Today Daz is still a big part of the club scene, deejaying about four nights a week, and still does shows for some big name acts. Daz recently had a chance to play for the fastest growing radio station in Los Angeles: Latino 96.3 - So keep listening to the station for more chances to hear Daz doing what he does best!
