I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a 53 year-old woman who is into that 'next phase' of life. Older but not old. Young, but really not young. Having a hard time with this 'age' thing! How does a 52 year-old act when they feel in their mind like they are 30? This is confusing! Anyway, I have 2 grown boys, 25 and 31 who I couldn't be more proud of. Having been a single mother for many, many years, they have been my life. Now they have lives of their own and I have to let go and find something else to do. (This is just killing me...that 'empty nest syndrome' is very painful). Looking to make new friends for my next 'venture'. Just tired of being alone most of the time and am looking to meet friends to at least fill up some of my lonely hours.... I have met some really good friends here.

My Interests

I would love to travel...take short trips. I love to read. I like anything from love stories to the paranormal. I also am interested in the paranormal as a whole...being it ghosts, ufos, unexplained mysteries, new age religion. I absolutely love the moon and the stars. They really fascinate me.I have always been interested in the concept of witchcraft and have been studying it. I believe that we need to respect the earth and all her properties. Without her, we would have nothing.I love the ocean, the mountains and all that mother nature has to offer us. We need to take better care of her or as you can see....she has a very nasty temper! What would you do if you were abused all the time? Her actions speak volumes! Also, can't forget my cats. I love my 'other' kids. That unconditional love you get is so rare and there's nothing like it!VISIT MY CARE2 SITE AT: http://my.care2.com/robinanne1953

Music:

I like the old stuff and some new stuff. I absolutely love Journey. Went to a concert recently, and I have to say...I'm in love.....Luckily, I am exposed to music I would otherwise never really listen to because of my boys. They have introduced me to some pretty cool music. In fact, my music profile contains a song my son Dave wrote...I'm very proud; and my son Matty plays drums in 'Malcontent'. I'm so proud of him too. I can't say enough about my boys' music! Anyway, it's hard to list everything I like. I still listen to the 60s music...old rock and roll. I will listen to country if it's not too twangy. Can't do rap. That actually makes me want to hurl! I also like some new age music...it's hard to explain exactly what it is; kinda celtic I guess. Inkubus Sukkubus is soooooo cool. I also love Enya and I also think Loreena McKennitt's music is so soothing. INKUBUS SUKKUBUS

Movies:

I like love stories...the ones that make you cry and then smile. I like suspense...nothing too complicated where I would have to rent the DVD and keep watching it so I could understand it. LOL. I love ghost stories and spooky, spooky and more spooky!!!!! No blood and guts though.

Television:

Again, I try to catch as many spooky shows as I can and there are alot of them out right now. I like sitcoms too. CSI, House, Reunion, Supernatural, Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, Medium, Desperate Housewifes, etc....

Books:

Pretty much the same as movies and television!!! I do love Sylvia Browne and think she is just so amazing. Mysteries, fantasy, love stories.

Heroes:

My mom. I think about her and miss her every single day.
