About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorWell, I'm moving...again! This time it's Seattle here I come. I'm going to have at least 2 extra hours in my day now that I don't have to commute so far. I don't know what I'm going to do with all my free time. Maybe take some classes, go to the movies, do happy hour, go see lectures...the possibilities are endless :)My dream in life used to be to make lots of money and have a huge home and all this cool stuff, but I have abandoned that dream after realizing there is so much more to life than that. Just give me caffeine, sunshine, greenery and water, good food, somewhere to walk to, friends, and interesting conversation and I will have an awesome day. My philosophy on life is that we should always help out those less fortunate than ourselves and hopefully I will never lose sight of that. It's called karma, baby, and it comes around.
Your Life Path Number is 4
Your purpose in life is to build your vision. You are practical and responsible. You work hard, knowing that there are no shortcuts in life. You work for a better life for yourself and those you love, but you are not an idealist. Trustworthy and honest, you also demonstrate great courage. People can count on you. In love, you are a loyal and committed partner. You are the ideal spouse.
You don't give up easily, and sometimes you can be too stubborn and unwilling to change. You also can be too conservative at times. You sometime miss out on good opportunities. Also remember that not everyone can work as hard as you, as disappointing as that is! What Is Your Life Path Number?

My Interests

I love Friday nights and Saturdays. I love animals, but not bugs. I love eating, a lot! I love the combination of caffeine and alcohol, thus I love rum and cokes. I love movies with a message, especially Indie movies and documentaries, but not The Brown Bunny. That movie was horrible, except for the last 15 minutes. I love to sing when I'm alone. I love traveling and experiencing new cultures. I dislike unreliable people. It's called follow through, peeps! I dislike keeping plants, mostly because they die on me. I extremely dislike George W. Bush and most of his staff. I don't like SUV's and I dislike even more the people who drive SUVs and then complain about gas prices being too high.
Your Personality Is Like Acid
A bit wacky, you're very difficult to predict.
One moment you're in your own little happy universe...
And the next, you're on a bad trip to your own personal hell! What Drug Is Your Personality Like?

I'd like to meet:

Bill and Hillary Clinton, Viggo Mortensen, Keith Urban, Conan O'Brien, Lily Allen, Angelina Jolie, and Jon Stewart. If I can suspend disbelief and assume I can meet dead people, then I would add Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Henry David Thoreau, and Queen Elizabeth I.

Music:

I love it all! Lilly Allen, Amy Winehouse, Brandi Carlile, Keith Urban, SheDaisy, Rascall Flatts, Martina McBride, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, Common, The Beatles, Spoon, Death Cab for Cutie, Juanes, Daddy Yankee, Mana, Shakira, Usher, The Roots, Lauryn Hill, Janis Joplin, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion (yes, I'm willing to admit it!), Billy Joel, Backsteet Boys (teenage love!), Rage Against the Machine, The Elected, Village Green, Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight, Destiny's Child, En Vogue, Julie Roberts, Faith Hill, Jessica Andrews, Gary Allan, Alison Krause and Union Station, Sara Evans, Michael Buble, and Sarah McLachlan.

Television:

I don't have a working TV or cable, which I'm actually fine with. But, if I was to rent TV shows on DVD, I would watch these: Arrested Development, Desperate Housewives, American Idol, The Daily Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Law & Order, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, America's Next Top Model, and last but not least, Sex and the City (R.I.P.).

Books:

I love all non-fiction, especially books about politics and public policy. Favorite non-fiction reads are Earth Odyssey, Nickel and Dimed, The Price of Motherhood, Living History (the Hillary Clinton autobiography), Affluenza, and Fast Food Nation. My favorite fiction authors are Jane Austen and Maeve Binchy.

It's a sad day for planetary acronyms...

Ahhh, what has happened!  The news reached me today that Pluto is no longer classified as a planet, but  rather as a dwarf planet.  For a child growing up with a solid belief in Pluto's...

You know you're from Washington when...so true!

You know the state flower (Mildew)  You feel guilty when you don't recycle. You use the phrase "sun break" and know what it means. You know more than 10 ways to order coffee. You know more people...
