Who is SOULTRÈ?
SOULTRÈ, an African-American poet, spoken word performer, writer and motivational speaker was born
and raised on the southside of Chicago. This 33 year old mother of two sons, has enjoyed performing and
writing poetry since the age of twelve. Her gift and passion for poetry and spoken expression have led her
into the spoken word arena where she is described as her name suggest “soultre†because her words touch
and inspire the soul. A true believer of self-love, she is motivational to women with her down-to-earth and
sassy performances, which she has displayed in person as well as on her CD, A Woman’s Point of View.
SOULTRÈ a student at East-West University majoring in English Communications and Behavioral Social
Sciences is determined to use her poetry and writing abilities as an aide to young girls and women especially
in the African-American community. Her decision to return to school was based on her wanting to become a
