About Me

"WHEN YOU CHANGE THE WAY YOU LOOK AT THINGS, THE THINGS YOU LOOK AT CHANGE." - Albert Einstein. Al's quote also applies to listening too! About me: I am a native Richmonder that has travelled many places playing my bass. I grew up in Richmond's Fan district. As an avocation, I have dedicated my heart and soul to teaching myself how to play the bass for pop and jazz music. I have had the tremendous good fortune to be influenced and trained on the job by local players here in Richmond and a number of other musicians, singers, and entertainers of national prominence. I have played in every conceivable venue in the central Virginia region. During my playing career I have met many talented, creative people both fellow musicians as well as people I have met in the audience. In addition to being mainly self taught, I have studied music theory, classical string bass, basic piano and I have been given numerous invaluable "five minute" music lessons by some of the greatest musicians in the world, for which I am eternally grateful. Currently, my playing activities are mainly centered in and around my hometown of Richmond, VA and the central Virginia region. Please checkout my website for additional information about me, the instruments I use, and other related items of interest. MY BIO IS AN ON-GOING WORK IN PROGRESS...
