I'm 25 years old. Born and raised in a small town in South Carolina. It's weird living in a place that actually has 4 seasons instead of just Hot and Kinda Chilly. I think New York needs a Sonic...and South Carolina needs Mr. Softee and Tasti-Delite. I work in news. My family is my biggest fan. I have a younger sister -- I think she's pretty neat. Sorry it took me 20 years to realize that. I like it when she wants to come vist me..or have me come visit her. We got free makeovers at Sephora once and came out looking like sluts. It was awesome. My mom is my hero. She gives the greatest advice: on life- "Life is sad...except for the parts that aren't;" on relationships- "There are gonna be days you think he sucks. And there are gonna be days he thinks YOU suck. But that's ok." Gay marriage- "Most of the time a boy and a girl hold hands, but sometimes two boys hold hands...or two girls hold hands. And that's ok..because love is beautiful..whatever form it takes. And when you've found somebody to love, and that somebody loves you back, then you're one of the lucky ones..and you deserve all the happiness in the world." and the world itself- "There is beauty to be found in all things. Even this." My dad leaves the best phone messages ever: "Hello, Ash? Sorry we missed your call. Your mom and I were in the back burying a dead possum. By the way, this is your father." A few minutes later.. "By the way. Call your Grandma. This is your dad, again." I love my friends, and I miss all the ones I don't get to see everyday. They all entertain me in different ways. I love our inside jokes...if you know what I mean. One day, I'll write a book and then I'll make a tv show about them. And it won't be called "Friends." I am jealous of Liz's "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy" games for classic Nintendo. I enjoy random text messages. I think the world needs more people like Ryan Buckley. I hate that Lifetime changed the Golden Girls airing time. I can't manage to keep a house plant alive. My spelling sucks. So does my grammar. I once put a bath mat on the fire escape to dry. It flew away. I love feeding seagulls at the beach...and pigeons in the park. I can't walk past the produce section at the grocery store without shaking a coconut and listening to the milk slosh around inside. I have an irrational fear of escalators. I like going to baseball games, but hate watching them on TV. I only pick up pennies on heads. Newman's Own Lite Honey Mustard salad dressing is the best. Cupcakes are better with sprinkles. I never get tired of mac & cheese...or special popcorn. I carry a Tide Pen with me wherever I go. I like having adventures with Noah. I get cold whenever the temperature drops below 70 degrees. I like to run, but get bored after about 10 minutes. It amuses me how my yankee boyfriend makes better grits than I do. I weigh a hundred and ten pounds more than she does, but Kitty always manges to win the fight over the best spot in the bed every night. There is no such thing as tea that is too sweet. Only sweet and better. The smell of big trucks and buses makes me think of marching band trips. I still cover my eyes during scary parts in movies. You can only hear my southern accent when I say certain words. I want to go to California one day. I got kicked outta chorus in the 7th grade because I couldn't sing. They put me in novel reading class instead. I miss skipping classes and going to Sonic. Stay in school. Forever. The real world sucks. I want to open a sweet tea and boiled peanuts stand in Times Square. I miss the porch swing. I think Target is one of the greatest places ever. Best Buy's not bad either. My "Mii" looks like Jodi Foster. Can somebody please give me tips on how to make it look more like me? I love reading the Best of Craigslist. I like songs with good lyrics and an actual melody. Disney's "The Fox and the Hound" still makes me cry. I can watch certain movies over and over again and never get sick of them. I hate "Blackberry people." I'm addicted to "The Hills." Don't judge. I am so over the Geico cavemen. Granny Smith apples and carmel dipping sauce is delish..so are cukes and vin. I dog ear pages in books instead of using a bookmark. Sorry if I've ever borrowed a book from you. I read trashy magazines on the way to work instead of the newspaper. I like getting my eyebrows threaded even though it hurts. I love Manhattan at night because of the lights, but I hate Times Square. I love Cape Cod. And Lake George. I don't think Jersey is so bad. One day I'll fill up this entire box.
