JUPITER 7 (simply meaning: growing into completion) is an emcee that continues to push the boundaries of hip-hop sound with an eclectic blend of jazz and soul, in a classic boom-bap landscape. With raw stage energy and an eclectic live show, J7 displays his love for the art, the culture, and people worldwide. J put his mark on the underground scene in early 2006 with his first full length release IDENTIFY, which garnered him a growing fan-base and unique sound completely his own. Since then, he's been featured on several compilations albums, magazine reviews, and nationally recognized websites. His latest release THE 2ND STORY EXPERIMENT (EP), has been well received in the local scene due to its authentic sound and honest commentary. With an anticipated new full length album called ROCKSTEADY (due out July 11th 2009), J7 hopes to take independent hip-hop to the next level in originality and content. The mission is to be a voice of hope and clarity for this generation. In reflection J states, “Hip-hop has literally been hijacked and needs to be brought back under control... In a world with real problems such as social issues, financial breakdowns, and a declining moral status, there's no more room for lowering the bar.
