4 SENIOR YOUTH INCLUSION PROJECTS (SYIP)
based in Northumberland Heath, Belvedere, Erith and Thamesmead.
Activities: Evening projects with positive activities (e.g. table football, pool, badminton, music production, decks, football, arts and crafts, games), trips out, personal development interviews, integrated support plans, provision of SOVA mentoring service, personal support, drugs awareness workshops.
Outcomes: Young people diverted from crime, supported if victims of crime, encouraged to stay or become involved in school / training, offered assistance with homework / CVs, protected from abuse, self esteem built to enable them resist becoming involved in negative and destructive behaviour including illicit drugs use, children being offered positive activities including a local football project organised by local Police.
JUNIOR YOUTH INCLUSION PROJECT (JYIP)
based in Thamesmead & Erith
Activities: After school club with positive activities (e.g. games, arts and crafts), trips out, personal development interviews, integrated support plans, provision of Charlton Athletic football, homework support, personal support.
Outcomes: Children diverted from crime, supported if victims of crime, encouraged to stay or become involved in school, offered assistance with homework, protected from abuse, self esteem built to enable them resist becoming involved in negative and destructive behaviour including illicit drugs use, children being offered positive activities including football with Charlton Athletic.
