I like to read, I'm working on writing a book (in my SPARE TIME), I have 12 nieces and nephews, and I LOVE to travel. On Family Vacations, I have been to most States from the Midwest (MN, IA, SD, etc) to the East Coast. I have been to London, and now to California; representing one State on the West Coast. I have been in the Ocean at Virginia Beach, VA, and in the Ocean at Mission Beach (The Strand) in San Diego, I can now say that I have been in both the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans! Woo-hoo!!!
In December 2005, my Sister and Brother-in-law (and their 5 children) invited my Brother, Mom, and I to go with them on their Family Vacation to Walt Disney World for Christmas! It was definitely a new experience for all of us to be in a Warm Climate for Christmas!!!! ;-) I guess that I didn't have enough of Mickey and Minnie, so I went to Disneyland in April 2006. I was in California to help a Friend with her Wedding, and we (the Bride, one of her Bridesmaids, and I) went to a San Diego Padres game, and it was a bit chilly!!! I also hung out in San Diego with some Friends from LA, we spent the day checking out Downtown San Diego, the Harbor, and we even went on a Ferry Ride. None of us had been to San Diego before, so we had a lot of fun checking everything out! I also went to Carlsbad to visit another Friend, Jamie, and we went to Orange County/Laguna Beach to have lunch with another Friend from MN. I got to visit a lot of cities in Cali, and it was a BLAST!!! The weirdest thing was seeing signs, on our way to LA, that pictured Families (Immigrants) trying to get into LA/America and to make sure that no one picks them up. I had never seen that before!
I traveled to Austin, TX in December 2006 to just "get away", and met a few people at Austin Stone Community Church. They kept telling me that I should relocate to Austin, but I figured that life was fine where I was at. BOY WAS I WRONG! In January 2007, God showed me that He had a different plan for me than what I had expected! Several people confirmed this move through signs and statements, so I knew that God was leading this move. I am planning on moving to Austin by the middle of May, and am trying to get a job and settle on living arrangements until I find my own place.
I do like to hang out at Kristin Johnson's house whenever I can, and her Mom, Jody, has become a close friend of mine throughout the years! I really like to scare Jody; however, I found out that it is definitely not a good idea to scare Dennis (Jody's husband)! I almost got punched in the face when I scared him BY ACCIDENT! I thought that Jody was coming in the house first, but whoa, there was this fist in my face, and obviously it wasn't a girls hand!!
I also like to drive, so I do enjoy taking road trips to Michigan and Indiana to visit my nieces and nephews that live out that way! It's a great way to unwind and spend time worshipping God with no one else hearing me sing!!! :) ;-)
I also like to scrapbook; however, I will not do 6 books at one time ever again! shoo, that was not a good experience at all!
