I graduated fall of 2005, a semester early (WOOT WOOT!) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) with a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Science and a minor in Air Traffic Control. I recently resigned from ERAU working as a flight instructor. I am SOOOOOOO ready and eager to start my career on May 30th!
Last September I took the ATSAT, which is the test you must take before becoming an Air Traffic Controller. I scored very well and placed in the highest category. I have not yet turned in all my paperwork to the FAA because I want to give being an Airline Pilot a chance (If the FAA calls you up for a job and you say "no" you will never get a second chance).
Going to the bar/club on the weekends is something I enjoy. I have met a lot of really great people there. Going there is not a must for me, I would be content staying home and watching a movie or tv. Or going out to the movie theatre, bowling, putt putt golf (Hey come on... putt putt is fun! ;)), etc.
I have recently been offered a class date with Republic Airways (Chautauqua) (for you non pilot people, its AKA American Connection, Continental Express, Delta Connection, United Express, and US Airways Express) to fly the CRJ (pictured below) and will HOPEFULLY be based in Houston. My class starts on May 30th!
