I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

Please send me a message if you're friend requesting me; you're much more likely to get accepted faster b/c that way I know you're not a "bot" :)

My AIM is Resadote87 if you ever feel like chatting. It's also my Yahoo screen name. Unfortunately, Myspace IMing doesn't work with me. Just be sure to say who you are when you IM me so I'm not too confused!

So where do I start? I'm from many appearances a pretty average guy you'd see on the street. I live in Columbus and go to The Ohio State University. I'm a psychology major pursuing an honors degree with a distinction in research, going premed. I'm in the honors program here, so they keep me pretty busy, but I still manage to get enough free time to have somewhat of a life. I also work for OSU at the OSU Medical Center as a safety coach. If you ever want to hear about it, I love to talk about it!

In terms of appearance, well, I'm maybe one step away from average, whether that's good or bad. I'm a slender six-foot guy, but thanks to our amazing gym here (called the RPAC) I'm actually starting to bulk up a bit. I have mouse-brown hair and green eyes, although the hair changes on occasion. I used to be pretty pale, but I guess all the yardwork this summer took care of that...
But those are just looks. Who cares about 'em? Except maybe most of the population... but hopefully it's my personality that sticks out in your mind. I'm usually fairly extroverted and easygoing. I like making friends and I do my best to keep in touch with them. In conversation, I'm an interesting combination of dorky, amusing, genuine, and maybe just a little nerdy :).

I'm bisexual, but I'm not uptight about it; if you are, no one's forcing you to be on my page. While it is a part of me, it's not the essence of who I am, and I try to make sure it stays that way. I don't act "gay" (which is a pretty broad and quite frankly poor description), but I don't act "straight" either. I act like myself.

I have a bunch of hobbies. One of the biggest one is writing. During high school, between my brother and working by myself, I authored 11 novels, far more than 50 short stories, issues of Skay Newsday (a fictitious newspaper that ran for 2 years), and I even co-authored and co-directed a full musical for my high school theatre. I was also president of my school's writing club my senior year.

In addition, I like to write music. My brother and I had a "band" called Bekleined, and I later did a solo album under the name of "Standing Alone." I have an artist myspace page, if you're interested, although I admit it's been a bit since I updated it.

Web sites are another thing I seem to enjoy, because I've pitched dozens of them. I used to have my own homepage with tons of columns, humor, and so much more, but tragically AOL stopped giving out free web space (seeing as it's going down the toilet). I recently created a new one with Google (they already own half the world, anyway) at http://sites.google.com/site/bkpremed . Check it out, if you feel so inclined (it would mean a bunch to me too).

Other hobbies of mine are theatre (I did a collection of high school and church plays), working out (I'm addicted to the "runner's high" lol), watching movies, hanging out with friends, going on hikes, bike rides, working on artwork in Photoshop, and so much more.

But seriously, everybody has this sort of stuff... it's just this combination that make me unique. I'm no better than any of the other guys out there, and I don't pretend to be.

I've got a lot of really awesome friends that have been there for me more times than I can count. It would take waaaay too much space here to talk about them in any depth, so I'll just sum it up as this: I love you all--you know who you are.

So that's me, or at least a passing glance of me. If you enjoyed this, please feel free to browse the rest of my profile and blogs, and if you like what you see, consider sending me a send request (it helps if you send a message with it). Have a nice day!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Who would I like to meet? I like to meet so many people a better question would be who wouldn't I like to meet? That's a little easier to answer.

I don't like people who are constantly jerks. Big surprise, I know. I'm not particularly fond of intolerant people who won't accept new ideas, either. Raceism, dishonesty... all that stuff's kind of unattractive. But I'm pretty sure most people feel this way.

As I said up a bit, if you're friend-requesting me, I'd love it if you'd shoot me a message at the same time (unless I already know you and it's obvious who you are).

So basically, if you're not an intolerant, raceist, jerk, then I'd like to meet you! And hopefully, if you're reading this, you'd like to meet me :)

I’m getting a dog!

So I had a dog when I was a kid.  It died when I was like 8.  His name was Vilky and I believe he was a Husky, or at least that's as close to any one species as he was (mixed breed, we'll sa...

It’s hard being the better person

It sounds awful to say, but I’ve looked into my heart, his heart, talked to my friends, our friends, his friends, God, and anyone else with a caring soul, and it’s exceedingly evident. I ...

The Hardest Quiz

Every once in a while, there comes a time in a man’s life when he has to tell a story of a more crude nature.  Tonight I was sitting at my computer, and I thought, "The time has come." ...

Wrong Day Gone Right

Some days just suck.  And I find that once I have one day like that, the ones that ensue aren't peachy either. Yesterday was going okay, but then a bunch of crap came up.  This crap ended up...
