A huge turning point in my life was when I was 13, and I would sit around all night listening to Metallica songs from their Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and Kill 'Em All CD's. I would listen to that music imagining myself playing those songs live which eventually inspired me to play guitar. The summer when I was 14, I got my first guitar, a blue/green Ibanez, and began learning songs such as Seek and Destroy and Am I Evil. As time went on I sought out playing guitar with anyone I could through thrash/metal bands, folk guitarist/singers, and college jazz bands. Meeting all of these people and soaking in everything I could from them has and continues to inspire and challenge me to continuously develop how I play guitar.
Currently I am involved in three music projects that I feel cover this musical spectrum very well. They are Agent Zero, Demetra Dokos, and Bill Leighly. They are all equally important to me, and I encourage you to check out their profiles on my Top Friends.
Agent Zero has played more than 300 shows over the last several years giving us the chance to play with many national acts, including Staind, Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Mastadon, Damage Plan, Magna Fi, Hurt, Slightly Stoopid, Flaw, Stereomud, Primer 55, Ratt, Soil, Hedder, L.A. Guns, Jackyl, Genetorturers, MTV Jackass “Don’t try this at Home†Tour, Theory of a Deadman, and many more.
