The Bassment:
Remember that kid in high school who had the cool parents! They let you hang out and listen to loud music, play pool and had all of the best video games, and they ALWAYS had the best parties with lots of booze! That is the premise of The Bassment, Glenwood Avenue's newest hot spot.
Decorated with the best LP's of the 70s, 80s and 90s, tons of arcade games including pin ball, frogger and Donkey Kong. The Bassment offers a couple of pool tables, a foos ball table and relaxing leather furniture that will allow you to sit back and listen to music from your past.
Music that you forgot that you knew the lyrics to including, Air supply and Journey to Beastie Boys De La Sol with a little Aerosmith and Def Leopard thrown in for good measure. At the Bassment they have the best of the past and the current stuff, including: Justin Timberlake, Buck Cherry, Kid Rock, Gwen Stefani and so much more. The Pourch:
Upstairs from the bassment is the Pourch. A more upscale feel but with the some laid back atmosphere of the Bassment. The Pourch has a breezy style with feel good music and comfy sofa's.
The Pourch is the best in outdoor party feel, moved inside for a great year round mood. The newest hot spot on Glenwood Avenue always has that casual carefree vibe that comes from fresh air and good friends.
During the warm North Carolina months, the outdoor patio will be open with hammocks overlooking Glenwood South.
