About Me

I found this layout design on PureLayouts.com - check out their MySpace Layouts .
"I am what I do" apparently, so... I am now the Director of Executive Administration at a John Hancock firm in the area. I just joined the company back in January and it's been a lot of work, but it's been great. It comes with a lot of long hours and late nights, but in the end, it's very rewarding!
I also have a wonderful boyfriend, Tod, who lives in Fredericksburg. My weekends are now dedicated to either going down there or him being up here, but just being together as much as possible. He's just wonderful and I'm so happy!
Otherwise, I enjoy seeing comedians (RIP Richard Jeni!), wine tasting, and watching any show at Wolf Trap. I'm a travel junkie... I finished my degree in Paris and absolutely love the entire European culture. I love hosting and attending family dinner parties where the food and wine are never in short supply or poor taste!
Other than that, I love to dance. Up until recently, I was the co-line dance instructor at Ned Devine's in Sterling. I love all dancing though. My dad taught me to two step and jitterbug not long after I mastered walking and there's so much skill and technique in these dances that I just love them all!

My Interests

DANCING! I love to country dance, but my true passion is ballroom and jitter-bugging (although two different ends of the spectrum), but any sort of choreographed dance is right up my ally! I'll even break it down at a club, but it's certainly not my first choice.Outside of that, I love biking, wine tasting, comedy shows, sight-seeing/history, reading, dinner parties, french food, and traveling... you only have one life, so living it up in any way is high on my list!

Music:

country mostly (because I love to dance), but I also enjoy rap, hip hop, classical, oldies, etc. I love Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Jo Dee Messina, Sugarland, Brad Paisley, Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, Nelly Furtado, etc. It depends on my mood.

Movies:

Office Space, National Treasure, Dumb & Dumber (classic!), Love Actually, the American President and Serendipity. I've also added Last Holiday as a new fav'... it is pretty Disney-esque, but so redeeming overall!

Television:

Grey's Anatomy and the Today Show are absolute MUST HAVES in my book! I can't wake up in the morning withough Katie (who's leaving 5/31 :o( ), Matt, Al & Anne and I can't close out a weekend without a healthy dose of GA! Of course, other greats currently on and off the air are S&TC, Scrubs, Friends, and Two and a half Men.

Books:

Anything by Dan Brown! Angels & Demons definitely trumped the reigning DaVinci Code (although it is a very close second). Also Jon Stewarts, "America (The Book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction"... HILARIOUS! I'm currently reading the next Harry Potter too... it's an intindating piece, but I'm enjoying it!

Heroes:

My big bro... he's accomplished more in 28 years than most ppl do in a lifetime... literally! Also, my mom who is the most loving, giving person in the world. She's never met a stranger and is a true example of love.

Disclaimer on the DaVinci Code? REALLY?!

I am so sick to death of these Christians out there DEMANDING or even requesting a disclaimer be placed on the DaVinci Code movie stating that it is a work of fiction.  If that's the case, then a...
