MacIntyre Family Singers perform for NISH/Ability One national convention
with acclaimed Paramount CEO and producer Sherry Lansing.
Katelyn MacIntyre has trained classically in voice for eight years, singing, performing and recording in Italian, German, Latin, Hebrew and Spanish. She recently performed as a vocalist with the Phoenix Symphony at the Dodge Theatre under the direction of Ralph Carmichael. She has been profiled on national and local television shows, newscasts and print media as vocalist, dancer and horseback rider. She currently performs for conventions, churches, charities, colleges and weddings as a paid vocalist. She has recently sung at the Kennedy Center, Terrace Theater and Union Station in Washington DC and has performed the national anthem twice at US Airways Centre for stadium athletic events.
In addition to performing as soprano for the MacIntyre Family Singers, Katelyn has performed with other ensembles. She auditioned and joined the Scottsdale Community College A’cappella Choir at 11 years old and was a soloist in 12 of the 12 concerts performed. Known as the “singing, clogging, cowgirl,†she thoroughly enjoys bringing her music to all audiences.
Todd MacIntyre has performed as a featured soloist and in ensemble at such notable venues as the Koussevitzky Music Shed, Seiji Ozawa Concert Hall, Orpheum Theater, Herberger Theater, Chandler Performing Arts Center, Chase Field (Diamondbacks), and USAirways Center (Phoenix Suns). Classically, he has studied under such notable vocalists as Gary Durham, Franc D’Ambrosio, Lorenzo Malfatti, Matthew Larson, Phyllis Hoffman, Anne Elgar Kopta, David Britton, and Stephen Roberts.
Todd has worked as a model in national print campaigns for PetSmart and Dillard’s. He has been cast extensively in lead roles for musical and theatrical productions including “Grease†(Kenickie), “The Scarlet Pimpernel†(The Scarlet Pimpernel), "A Christmas Carol" the Musical (Fred Anderson), “She Loves Me†(Sipos), “The Music Man†(Harold Hill), “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown†(Snoopy), “Godspell†(John the Baptist/Judas), “Peter Pan†(Captain Hook/Mr. Darling), “The Wizard of Oz†(Scarecrow), “The Singer†(World Hater), and “Cinderella.†He is an AriZoni Best Actor award recipient and two time nominee. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Economics from Arizona State University’s W P Cary School of Business with additional studies in voice and musical theater, and in 2008 he released his debut CD "Bella Voce" featuring 61 minutes of classical vocal performance.
Former member Scott MacIntyre began playing piano by ear at age 3 though visually impaired since birth. Classically trained, he has been internationally profiled on CNN, Headline News, SkyNews Europe, Global Television Network, and national and local news, radio, and print media as pianist, vocalist, and songwriter. He has independently produced, engineered, and released 6 full-length CD's which include his original material in classical and pop genres. The recipient of top prizes and awards for piano, composition, and vocal performance, Scott has appeared as guest soloist with prominent symphony orchestras, as well as playing such major Arizona venues as the Orpheum Theater, Sundome, Phoenix Symphony Hall, and Gammage Auditorium for thousands in attendance.
He obtained his masters degree in Piano/Vocal Performance in England from the Royal College of Music and Royal Holloway University of London. He was also accepted to both Oxford and Cambridge for further graduate-level research. Scott is the recipient of the Marshall scholarship, Fulbright scholarship (to the UK), USAToday All-USA Academic First Team and is a Rhodes Finalist for Arizona.
Comfortable in her roles as wife, mother, cheerleader, supporter, and chauffeur, Carole MacIntyre’s life happily revolves around her family. A graduate of Biola University in Business Administration and married to her dear husband of 27 years, Carole has home educated her three children for 19 years through highschool. Piano, voice, flute, and guitar studies were taken in years past, and now she enjoys singing and traveling as alto with the MacIntyre Family Singers. She has lectured and performed for organizations in the US and Canada including home school organizations, the Mayo Clinic, Braille Institute of Los Angeles, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, colleges, churches, and charities.
