Jen Stevens & The Hiccups hail from sunny South Shields in Tyne & Wear, and are not your average band. Mixing folk and jazz influences with heavier rock beats and poppy sounds, this quartet has something for everybody. Already having shared stages with Roger Daltrey, Jimmy Nail, Maximo Park, Lindesfarne, Vic Reeves and Chris Difford, as well as an album launch at the world famous Sage Gateshead, acclaimed live sessions with Metro and BBC Radio, and a video shot by the legendary Geoff Wonfor, JS&tHs are ones to keep your eyes (and ears!) on.
Looking to 2009, some great events to look forward to, including JS&tHs supporting the Futureheads, and playing their first London gigs! They also already have a great catalogue of new songs building up for the second album. Catch them live to hear them!
YouTube holds the key to a large proportion of the band's media: type "Jen Stevens" into the search box and check out the results! Videos from the album launch at the Sage, the "Me Syndrome" video, shot by Geoff Wonfor, and live videos from their support slot with Chris Difford.
