The Long Run are a 4-piece rock band from Canvey Island in the South East of England. Formed in 2005, the band played their first gig the day after their first ever rehearsal. Since then they’ve continued to gig constantly, and have done many other things along the way. The band plays a strong mix of heavy rock, pop and progressive/experimental music that has its own sound and feel. For any more information, or any booking enquiries then please feel free to contact the band either through this site, or through their website (currently under reconstruction). Below are some reviews of our music/live shows.

“The Long Run boast an impressive list of songs that range from short, catchy and memorable rock tunes to more extravagant, longer progressive pieces that emphasize the bands musical and technical ability. After seeing them live I can easily say that they have their own unique sound and put on a good, entertaining show. The stage is where it’s at for The Long Run - they really are a ‘live’ band, the sort of act that has to be seen and heard at a gig to get the full effect of their music. The Long Run obviously have a lot of talent, and the bands members really can play their instruments – I was very impressed by some of the solos and the instrumental sections in their music. It will be very interesting to see how they develop over time, and I expect to hear much more about them in the near futureâ€. Review by 'Tim Salson' of 'Indigo Music Industries'.

__“Great vocals, superb guitar work and a solid, tight rhythm section, The Long Run are a powerful unit that can really tear it up. With a set list that’s one-minute pop rocky, the next minute funky and then damn right out there, The Long Run throw a variety of styles into the melting pot and come out with something that’s truly their own. This is a band that could appeal to rock 'n' rollers, metal heads, dance/pop lovers - pretty much everyoneâ€. Review by ‘Lee Tims’ of ‘Vibrations in the Airwaves’.

__“A band with a great deal of versatility and flair, The Long Run write music that can be both easily accessible and challenging. Songs such as ‘Drive On’ and ‘Get Me Through’ have great pop hooks, while others such as ‘Dancing Till Dawn’ are much more funky and groove based. Along with some pretty impressive solos and a powerful, tight but raw sound, The Long Run really has a good thing going. You’ll quite possibly be singing the songs for daysâ€. Review by ‘Chris Carringham’.
