Ms Kaiji Brianna Evans was born on March 8, 1986 in Chicago, IL.Her first hip hop song she listened to was from a Tribe Called Quest, where she then realized that hip hop was going to be her way of life. Hip hop became her thing and from there on, the rest was history.
She was an active participant at Hip Hop University (HHU), an organization where they believe in preserving hip hop for the youth. Through her involvement is HHU she met select members from Zulu Nation and they collectively inspired the youth to stay musically aware.
Later on in life, Kaiji had the fortunate opportunity to learn one of the fundamental elements of hip hop. She learned to break dance and grew a greater appreciation for the art of the music. Her talent extends way beyond rocking the mic. She is a phenomenal writer and producer as well. The girl can, and has done it all. She has written songs for other artists, participated in open mics, poetry slams, produced, and has also done a lil’ krumping in between those times.
Furthermore, she has participated in music seminars where she has met legendary artists like Kanye West, Common, LL Cool J, Pharrell, and a host of other artists. She has also met the well renown reggae artist Max-A- Million and he offered words of wisdom and much success. Kaiji has met producers from one of Chicago’s premier radio station, 92.3 where she learned more about the industry.
Most recently she has done a collabo with Savant, an artist from the Chi and is working on some collabos with some artists in Los Angeles. Currently, she is in the studio working on her album with her producer Satchill Head. Together they are the visionaries for the revival of hip hop and has thus recorded two songs for her upcoming album.
For a young lady to be only 22 tender years, she has accomplished so much. The passion she has within, goes deep beyond the surface and it is rooted deep within her soul. Kaiji is ready to let the world experience her full potential!
