doing life well, being real (i don't mean that as a cliche although it is), i find old people are fascinating, i love to learn about other cultures, i love learning random new facts (like killer whales travel in groups called pods), i love people watching especially when i am a foreigner, i prefer squatty potties in public restrooms, i drive a car with one side mirror (i knocked the other one off with my mad driving skills), i actually like eating frozen organic burritos, i like travelling, being outdoors, reading gossip/trashy magazines (its a horrible habit-- it started in China with the lack of English reading material), reading actual books (fiction and non fiction alike), talking to friends (new or old), learning new things, listening to music, running, ... etc etc.
"Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great. You can be that great generation." -Nelson Mandela‘Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond imagination. It is our light more than our darkness which scares us. We ask ourselves – who are we to be brilliant, beautiful, talented, and fabulous. But honestly, who are you to not be so?You are a child of God, small games do not work in this world. For those around us to feel peace, it is not example to make ourselves small. We were born to express the glory of god that lives in us. It is not in some of us, it is in all of us. While we allow our light to shine, we unconsciously give permission for others to do the same. When we liberate ourselves from our own fears, simply our presence may liberate others.’- Marianne Williamson in Return to Love: Reflections on a Course in Miracles
Coldplay, Ray LaMontagne, Snow Patrol, Jet, India Arie...to name a few. I like it all, it depends on my mood. Sometimes I just have to hear a few old school jams, like Tony Toni Tone, and Bone Thugs n' Harmony... good stuff I tell ya.
Goonies, Bridget Jones I and II, Boondock Saints, Crash, Mystery Men, 13 Going on 30...
