In and out of Flagstaff since October 2000 (his first gig was at Charly's on the 13th of that month), Matt Miller has been involved in the music scene for some time. He's been in a few bands (Zen Bike Lock, Hall Monitor Lizzard, Don't Feed The Bears), although he's been performing mostly solo for a while now. Apart from gigging around northern Arizona, most recently he's been working on the Second Saturday Songwriter Walk (SSSW or Song Walk for short), and hosts the Green Room Open Mic on Tuesdays.
Matt Dethrow, this little bass playin mofo, moved here from Missouri late August of 2007. His last band toured extensively in the midwest, and played several festivals (including Wakarusa). Heavily influenced by Jaco Pastorious, his playing is melodic, rhythmic, and compelling. A few weeks after coming to town he played open mic at the (then) Mogollon; Miller said, "We gotta jam sometime, dude." From the first it was evident that this could be something great. Slick grooves from Miller's guitar fused with Dethrow's funky bass lines; the exchange of energy was tremendous.
Zach Huntington has been in Flag for more than 12 years; grew up in southern arizona. He’s been drumming since he was 5 years old. His previous projects include Eaten by Ants, Stellazine by Starlight, and Lacuna.
