About Me

Long ago, I thought I was never good at anything until I started to compare myself with idiots. I then began to feel better about myself. I guess Atlas shrugs for me as well. I have very specific (read that as "challenging") goals in life, and I have spent my life sacrificing for the big score, and have succeeded in achieving it. I wouldn't trade my life with anyone. I look at the world with boundless optimism. I am big into the outdoors, especially reptiles. I have been all over the world in search of them. I have given talks at Universities around the country about their conservation and have written about them in several magazines. When I get nervous, I talk too much. I enjoy winter only until Jan. 1st, then I want it gone, but yet I hate spring until May. I'm very laid back. Life is too short a trip to carry any baggage. I know what I'm doing and where I'm going. I have spent most of my life building up an immunity to my own idiosyncrasies. I am very turned off by shallow materialism, dishonesty, people with no sense of humor, and those who are only happy when they are miserable. I am very turned on by everything else. I will cut my hair when I'm 90 and have but a few decades left to live. My other passion in life are rollercosters. In fact, sometimes I’ll just sit on the couch and spontaneously throw my arms up and scream.

My Interests

Camping, Hiking, Reptiles, Conservation, People Watching, Traveling, Music, Movies, Creating, Adventure and on and on and on...

I'd like to meet:

Dreamers, adventurers, creative types. Anyone who looks at the world just a bit differently and would die before they apologize for it. I admire people who stand for what they believe in especially in the face of adversity.

Music:

Generally everything from Metallica to Mozart. Indie anything. Local anything.

Movies:

Way too many to list. You can come over sometime and raid my DVD library.

Television:

Dare I say I like Family Guy more than the Simpsons?

Books:

Misery. Stephen King. Period. And a lot of non-fiction as well.

Heroes:

All my heroes are dead.

My life is pretty damn good...

My life is pretty damn good right now, and Im not ashamed of that. Should I be? Why is it that people are afraid to tell others that they feel fantastic, or that they are having a great day/marriage/...
