Influences: Nina Ross came up in Pittsburgh, P.A. , in the Northview Hieghts Housing projects. At a young age she developed a love for rap . Growing up in a low-income neighborhood, nina faced a lot of issues. From losing close friends to gang violence, to watching family members cope with drug addictions, to teenage pregnancy, & to even becoming a victim of gun violence herself!! Nina was shot in the chest during a drive-by shooting while engaging in conversation with a friend. This shooting led nina to be paralyzed from the waist down. Fortunately in this situation Nina showed that through determination any thing is possible. Due to rehabilitation and God's blessings Nina regained enough strength in her legs to walk again. She notes, "I would dream of walking and performing again all of the time, ya know" Nina recaps this event and many other life experiences in her songs. She was recently an artist of Almighty records, and is now with Rovalike Records. Nina has been featured in countless venues and has been the opening act for numerous National Artists such as Gucci Man, Cash Money,DMX ,Ruff Riders, Trina, Eightball & MJG, and many others. In addition to various performances Nina also, has won WAMO'S Talent showcase twice once, with Amighty Records & once with Rovalike Records. Along with fellow label mates 2Gzz , Pviscious, Dj Spoon & K-Pound & Slim ( who is still currently representing Almighty Records). Nina states, "I have a hot single right now titled "We Some Window Bustas" and I plan to release the album early spring of 2008 Titled The H.B.I.C Old Sophia Home Now!!.
