Battle Barnabas

About Me

In Acts 9:27 Barnabas befriends the apostle Paul when the majority of people were questioning his motives. They couldn't help but remember that Paul, formerly known as Saul of Tarsus, was very well known for the persecution and execution of Christians. Barnabas encourages Paul and takes him to Jerusalem to meet up with the apostles. Our ministry is built on a spiritual gift that is rarely discussed. Barnabas was willing to be used by God to support the new ministry that Paul was undertaking. The word Barnabas means "son of encouragement." God is using us to encourage! It may sound like a tiny task, but it was embraced by Barnabas and it helped to explode the gospel message in the first century. If you continue reading the book of Acts you learn that Barnabas' gift of encouragement was crucial to the early church, and the development of leadership.
The puzzle piece is the central piece of our logo. This symbolizes the life of Barnabas. He was a vital piece to a much bigger picture that God had in mind. If Barnabas had not decided to act upon the gift he was given by God, then his piece of the puzzle would have been missing. If you were looking at a puzzle that was missing only one piece, you wouldn't be able to look past it. Instead of seeing the beauty of the other pieces that were already in place, you would be focused on what was missing. Our ministry is to encourage everyone to fulfill their calling by being a piece of God's puzzle. We must all align our lives to fit God's beautiful picture.
God is using us to encourage other believers. We have been working together and encouraging ministries for almost 2 years now. We just recently changed our name hoping to make our ministry more clear. We are called to lead worship! We write our own songs and we also play a lot of contemporary worship music. We have also been called to preach the gospel! Praise God for opening up doors for us to share our gifts. God is really moving in our ministry!
We proudly work alongside Compassion (http://www.compassion.com). We bring packets for both foundations to events. If your people decide to sponsor a child, we can register them on the spot. We are so proud to be apart of the Compassion ministry and everything they stand for.
The Wheelchair Foundation (http://www.wheelchairfoundation.org) is another foundation we are pleased to promote. Just like with Compassion, we bring packets and brochures to events. If it is on your heart, you can donate and learn about this amazing organization. We would love to assist you in any way that we can.
If you would like us to come and visit please contact us! We would love to meet with you and share our hearts with you.
