Internationally known performer and recording artist Bill Collins is currently celebrating his 31st year on stage. He has performed in sixteen countries and most of America’s 50 states................................................. Although Bill plays regularly in the local bars, he's been showing up more and more often to play in support of worthy (often Union related) political events...................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ......................................... Past Bands include: Special Forces, MDC, Fang, Baltimore Foot Stompers, The Swaggerts, Big Bad Johns and guest spots with Intensified Chaos, Verbal Abuse, Operation Ivy, Christ On Parade, Rubberslime, The Mimis, Velvetone, The Cheaterslicks, Heed The Thunder, Three Finger Demon, The Deacons......Current influences: The Pogues, Johnny Cash, The Wurzels, Slime, Special Forces,The Dubliners,Christy Moore, Merle Haggard, The Clanceys.................He cut his teeth playing bar band music in Montana in1976 and has since explored many musical styles, most notably many years of Old School Punk Rock, Rockabilly/Country/Roots music and most recently Irish Folk and original and revamped Pro-Union Political songs for a much needed new Political Movement!................................................... .................................Locally, Bill can be heard performing Irish, English and other Drinking songs and Union songs solo or with banjo/mandolin whiz Gary (Chops)MacConnie... Bill is currently working on a double Union and other Political Songs CD, which is to be one acoustic Irish/Hard Folk style and one electric Street Punk flavored CD featuring guitar hero Elf, formerly of the great German Punk band Slime, (and many others) and currently with Rubberslime and The Mimis....................................................... ................................................ Hopefully this project will be completed in February or March 2008.................Bill started work on this CD last July in Bremen, Northern Germany. 14 songs were recorded as unaccompanied solo versions by ace recording engineer/producer/guitarist/bass player/Tim Shapland, formerly of Zygote,Moorat Fingers and Chung, now with Sworn Liars.
