I grew up in DuPage County and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School in 1981. I received a Criminal Justice degree in 1984 from College Of DuPage and worked as a retail Security Manager for several years before getting hired as an Oak Brook Police Officer in 1987. I earned a promotion to Sergeant in 1999. I started Oak Brook's first K-9 program in 1993 and served as a K-9 handler from 1993-2000 with Police Dog Marlo. I am married and have one son and two German Shepherd Dogs. In 2001 I earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Social Justice from Lewis University and in 2002 a Masters of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership. I left the Oak Brook Police Department in 2007 and I donate my services as Webmaster for the Illinois Police Work Dog Association (ILPWDA.com). For the past four years I have worked with numerous public safety agencies on the installation and support of in-car computer and video systems and I am now an Operations Manager for an awesome corporation that provides a multitude of support services to the airline industry. In addition I do process service, private investigations and some body guarding. Supported charities include The American Cancer Society, Saint Jude's Children's Hospital and Habitat for Humanity.
My sister Theresa was killed in a car crash on May 03 1995 at the age of 26. She lived more in her short 26 years than most people live in a much longer lifetime.
My Cousin Michael, his wife Norma Ann and their daughter Samantha died on Christmas Day 2006 in a plane crash.
REST IN PEACE
