Their experimental style of hip-hop allows them to grasp the attention of listeners. Having both grown up in small towns, Mishap and xxxplicit found out quickly that in order to make moves theyd have to move themselves to a place where opportunity presents itself. Currently residing in Vancouver, BC, Erthtonez is rapidly shaking the scene. 2005 ended with big things to come with the release of their debut album Headphone Madness. The release of their album caught attention and attracted new listeners, which resulted in a series of shows through out the States. After only a few short months on MySpace.com, it didnt take long before opportunity knocked. While preparing for their CD release party, Erthtonez were busy getting down to business with the sale of one of their unreleased tracks to Ramp Art Films. This track will be featured in the film in late 2006. Working along side SlowDJs, the combination of Vinnie the Squids beats and Erthtonez lyrics have proven to be a threat. Already on the verge of producing their second album (No Such Thing As Ghosts), Erthtonez are working hard and collaborating with various DJs and emcees to create a diverse and intricate sound to smash into the new year.
2007 was set off perfect with the offical joing of Vinnie The Squid and the lauch of Swank Logic.com.An independant record label of various styles of house,break-beat,hip hop & funk.
Erthtonez complete as three and stronger than ever, team up once again with Richard DeKlerk of Ramp Art Films.The two parties begin to mold ideas together to create on screen magic!
Unfortunatly "Real hip hop, real skills & real music" is hard to come by these days. Erthtonez claim that its missing in todays scene,and someone or somebody has to change that!
Now with a nearly completed album, a music video for their hit single "Off Balance", and an Oregon coast tour,one must agree that these 3 artists are off to solid start.
From the stages of local vancouver venues to B.Cs largest electronic music festivals,erthtonez are moving through 2007 in fine fashion.
