27 PST VALLEJO -- Two suspects are being sought in connection with the shooting death of a Vallejo man and an ensuing chase in which witnesses were shot at, police said. Roderick Anderson, 24, of Vallejo was shot and killed about 7:15 p.m. Sunday on the 200 block of Shasta Avenue, police said. Officers responding to reports of shots fired found Anderson lying dead in a driveway, police said. Investigators believe Anderson was shot numerous times with an assault rifle by Maurice Don Jordan Jr. 30, as the two argued, police said. Jordan then fled the scene in a white 2000 Chevrolet with tinted windows and chrome rims that was driven by Christina Mae Skaggs, 26, of Suisun City, police said. Witnesses in the case chased the Chevrolet in their cars to the Mariposa Street on-ramp to westbound Interstate 80, police said. At that point, Jordan leaned out the passenger side of the Chevrolet and fired numerous shots, hitting one of the pursuing cars three times. The suspects escaped, but police were able to find the Chevrolet and the assault rifle during an investigation, police said. Anderson is Vallejo's 15th homicide victim this year. Jordan is on parole and is also wanted for failing to report to his parole officer, police said. Both suspects are being sought on arrest warrants accusing them of murder and attempted murder, police said. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jordan or Skaggs is asked to call Vallejo police at (707) 651-7146.Vallejo homicide suspects arrested By ANDREA WOLF/Times-Herald staff writer Article Launched: 11/16/2007 08:44:00 AM PST Two people allegedly responsible for the death of 24-year-old Roderick Anderson in Vallejo have been arrested in Southern California, police said Thursday. Maurice Don Jordan, 30, of Antioch and Christina Mae Skaggs, 26, of Suisun were arrested without incident Tuesday evening in Anaheim for both homicide and attempted homicide, Vallejo police Lt. Rick Nichelman. Anderson died Nov. 4 after being shot several times with an assault rifle in a driveway on the 200 block of Shasta Street. "They are dangerous people and it is good we got them in custody," Nichelman said. "This was a result of some very good police work." Vallejo police worked with Anaheim police and the U.S. Marshall's Office to locate and arrest Skaggs and Jordan, but Nichelman declined to give further details on how the two were tracked down. Skaggs and Jordan are currently in police custody and waiting to be brought to Solano County, Nichelman said.
