About Me

Sick City Club are a testament to a "can do" attitude. Four relative strangers who formed a band little over 5 months ago in November 2007, they can now rightly claim to be one of the biggest bands on the Birmingham music scene. In their short life, they have shared the stage with bands and acts as established and diverse Little Man Tate, Zane Lowe, Kano, Wiley, Underground Heroes, Robots in Disguise, The Troubadours and Young Heart Attack, gaining praise from everyone who shares in the energy of their live shows
They have recorded the four tracks on this page with renowned producer Gavin Monaghan, who has previously sprinkled his magic touch on bands such as Editors, The Twang, Nizlopi, and of course the legendary Robert Plant. A limited edition promo release of the track Sign Of The Times garnered airplay from stations such as Kerrang! BBC Nan Gaidhael, BBC Radio WM, BBC Nottingham, and local stations up and down the country, as well as many favourable reviews, as seen below. Such was the response to the track that BBC Radio WM Introducing had the band in for a session only a few weeks after recieving it.
Having had several songs touted as "potential hit records" by many corners of the music industry, Sick City Club aim to consolidate their current success and build on it as they try to move up the ladder that is the music industry.

Here are some reviews we've had recently
Both Sign of the Times and Anarchy show the band to be a high energetic feral indie rock band with huge punchy riffs, machine gun beats and infectious attitude fuelled vocals. As introductions go this is pretty damn impressive, Sick City Club seem to have it all, catchy songs, abbrassive guitars and shed loads of attitude. 9/10 - Rhythm + Booze
"Great Set... (Let Go), F***ing tune" - Matty Clinton (The Twang)
"A very tasty debut double 'A' release from Birmingham alt/indie/rocksters Sick City Club - an energetic bombardment of super-slick indie rock with plenty of 'pop' persuasion packing a totally full-on adrenalin rush" - Toxic Pete
"Melodic Brit-Rock with a social conscience, hints of Smashing Pumpkins & some fine slap bass drives it all on home" - Subba Culture
"Sign Of The Times, Sound Of The Future" - Monochrome Museum
"The Song Maximo Park wish they'd written" - Anonymous Industry insider
Here is a video of us doing Embarrassing monday with Robots In Disguise at Brum Academy2, thanks stace and chelsea!
