Ghoul Cult

About Me

Ghoul Cult formed in 2001 and rehearsed intensely throughout that year until the recording of the band's first demo in 2002. "Initiation to the Cult" was recorded in The Golden Hell and Fias Co. Studios. 50 copies were made of the demo tape, something the band quickly understood had been a bad move because of the surprisingly high demand. So cd-r versions of the demo do exist. Come 2003 and the recording of "Night of a Thousand Ghouls". Recorded in its entirety at Fias Co. Studios and released both on tape (70 copies) and on cd-r (30 copies). 2003 also saw the recording of two songs exclusively found on the s/t vinyl album released by the German label faceless.nameless.shapeless. The titles of these songs are Infernal Upheaval and Trionfo della Morte (in Aghast Reverie). Ulrich Riff-Vomitor decided to leave the band after the recording of these two songs and the band was dead when the LP was released in 2004. Johnny Tombthrasher finally got his act together and formed a session line up with the intention of performing Ghoul Cult's songs live. It took three years but the wait was well worth it. Johnny Tombthrasher is now busy making riffs and will most likely release a 7" under the Ghoul Cult banner sometime next year.
