APK HORNS was founded in 2003 when I was asked to put together a horn section for Kirk Franklin. Since that time, APK HORNS has performed and recorded with many different artists in both Contemporary Christian and secular venues. Some of the people APK HORNS have performed with are - Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary,Group 1 Crew, Clint Brown, Ron Kenoly, Salvador, Adlan Cruz, as well as many legendary salsa artists such as Richie Rey & Bobby Cruz, Tony Vega, and many others.
APK HORNS add an element of flavor that only live horns can provide. Whether it's a funk tune, jazz or ballad...the section is tight and tasteful.
All members of the APK are excellent sight readers as well as ear players and we do custom horn charts for people when needed.
