Kalifornia Redemption

About Me

Dan, Mac, Andy, and Josh had all been friends for several years throughout grade and high school. During this time, the four of them had been in several bands together, under monikers such as The Manimals and The Porn Cops. After playing several shows, Andy and Josh had moved on to playing with The Blast Bandits/O.F.S., and Dan and Mac had moved to Sonoma County and started up Kalifornia Redemption with Chris Everett. John "Metal" Burns was the original bassist, but after deciding to move on with his future wife, the band then asked their old friend if he'd like to take over bass duties. Initially, Andy was unable to due to college conflicts, but Josh was ready and willing to take the bottom end for their first national tour, stretching from California to Florida and back with friends Tsunami Bomb. After Andy was done with college, he then was able to join up with the band as bassist, and Josh moved over to left guitarist. This was just in time for their next national tour, which took them through the Rockies, and over into the Mid West with friends Spicolie and Next II Nothing. After this tour, Kal Red went on to play with several great bands such as The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Pivit, Tilt, Diesel Boy, Bracket, The Whyioughtas, Loose Change, Luckie Strike, The Adventures of Jet, NoMeansNo, Limp, Link 80, The KGB, RKL, The Lonely Kings, and many others. After a third national tour, which took them through the upper West Coast, into the Rockies, down into Texas and back through New Mexico/Arizona, the band called it a day.
