Latest Faves: The Promise Ring. Wilco. The Killers. The Fiery Furnaces. Musicals; latest faves: ...Charlie Brown; Guys and Dolls (1990s version), Chicago. Standard Favorites: Led Zeppelin, and old, old Michael Jackson.

Movies:

Movies that have left such an impression that I think about them weekly (or quite often): History of Violence, American History X, Seven, Fight Club, Being John Malkovich, Whale Rider, Xmen, Sound of Music (so I was 6 and very impressionable).... to name a few.

Television:

Colbert Report. Daily Show. 24. Still love Sex in the City. If I still had HBO: The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, etc. I watch American Idol, discuss it, and then hate myself for a few hours after that. Got addicted to Project Runway this year. Have missed a season (or 2?) of America's Next Top Model. And all this from a chick who was formerly anti-Reality-TV. Oy.

Books:

Operating Instructions -- Anne Lamott. Currently reading: The Brothers Karamozov. Also dabbling in The People's History of the Unted States of America. Recent enjoyments: Gilead, Harry Potter, East of Eden and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

Heroes:

Edna St. Vincent Millay, Anne Lamott, Mama Gena, Dorothy Parker, Women who've experienced Natural Childbirth, Oreo the Cat, and the ladies who make-up my personal "Panel of Experts."
