Conceived late 2006 amidst the desires of non-indigenous Bristol stalwarts King Einon (ex Gurkha), Chris (ex-Bomb Blast Men, now BULLET RIDDEN) & Jim (Cruelty) to keep us out of trouble; kicking bins etc... Recruited the missing pieces in the form of Tim (Turbowanker and a million eclectic Forest Of Dean bands/projects) for the fat strings and Guy Goatercycle to keep the beat. Played one short set at Scumfest under the moniker 'The Reckoning'. Then everyone started going on holidays, migrations etc. and things fell apart until a new impetus was arrived at along with a new drummer plus the revised band name courtesy of the genius of Mark Twain. Until recently things were steady until Antenor (drums) had to relocate to the Netherlands but we now have Karl from Bullet Ridden keeping the beat.'Claw It All Back' & 'Traitor's Gate' feature on the split CD/LP we share with those Massachusetts darklords MORNE. We have limited copies of both the LP and CD left, contact us for details via this myspace account or bigjimgrinder 'at' aol.com
**UPDATE 22/10/09** Having got Antenor back to the UK for a short time we were able to record 10 songs/31+ minutes of material with the unrelenting patience of BriDoom at the 1 in 12 this weekend just gone. This despite the coincidental presence of the MTAE fest and all of it's distractions; too much partying, too little sleep, hangovers, illness... 2 songs posted up from that session unfinished, unmastered but you get the idea...?
“When the missionaries came to Africa they had the Bible and we had the land. They said, 'Let us pray.' We closed our eyes. When we opened them we had the Bible and they had the land.â€
Archbishop Desmond Tutu.“I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the kind that we experience in ourselves. Neither can I nor would I want to conceive of an individual that survives his physical death; let feeble souls, from fear or absurd egoism, cherish such thoughts. I am satisfied with the mystery of the eternity of life and with the awareness and a glimpse of the marvelous structure of the existing world, together with the devoted striving to comprehend a portion, be it ever so tiny, of the Reason that manifests itself in nature.â€
