The Government is a production duo made up of Ominous and Drew. They produce all genres of music, and bring unparalleled production skills, musicality and general dopeness. Discovered by The Roots, the Government has produced and/or written music for artists as diverse as the Jazzyfatnastees and Dipset. They have composed music for TV ads, show opens and video games. Recent work includes writing and producing Guyz Nite's song, "Die Hard", featured in ads and on the Die Hard 4 DVD, as well as production for the online campaign for the movie AVP: Requiem, spots on VH1 Soul, music for Time Warner Cable ad campaign, and songs with upcoming artists The Kid Daytona and Harlem's Cash.
