About Me
"No one is useless in the world who lightens the burden of it for anyone else." -Charles Dickens
I love to:
sleep in on weekdays,
drum until someone complains,
pretend I know what I'm doing when I don't even have a clue what I was doing five minutes ago,
mentoring elementary school students,
drumming after I've been complained at,
laughing,
reading,
writing,
sleeping in on weekends,
being thrown out of the house for continuing to drum,
find out that a new set of cymbals has just arrived in the mail and going back inside to play some more,
breaking sticks,
cracking cymbals,
cutting large holes in kick drum heads because my pedal keeps getting stuck,
hanging out with my friends,
playing music with my friends,
fighting with my friends,
buying my friends lunch afterwards,
having them pay me back a month later,
feeling bad for making them pay me back and then treating them somewhere else,
instructing how to play simple four-counts on the drums and then dropping a stick,
drumming one handed while balancing hot soup in my lap,
getting $10 appreciative gift certificates from musiciansfriend.com because I've spend a lot of money on their site and then blowing it on little egg shakers that go "shicka, shicka, shicka, shicka,"
writing long "about me," sections,
making things with my own hands,
destroying things I made with my own hands because they didn't work,
telling people I have to hang up with them because I'm standing on grass,
getting hit in the face by a speeding football because I was too busy looking at Mike's new neighbor,
wearing clip-on ties off of my pocket,
being attacked by Mike who is talking in a French accent calling me and American swine while his new neighbor watches,
laughing myself to tears over the word "snoot,"
laughing myself to tears over Mike almost crying because an imaginary snake bit him in the face,
large explosions,
Cake/Three Days Grace-like jam sessions,
Ending the jam session by letting a stick go flying from my hand,
Accidentally hitting Mike with said flying stick,
Telling people that I died over Mike's AIM profile,
Coming back on another screen name that implies that I'm a ghost now,
Project 86,
The Decemberists,
Strata,
The Pink Spiders,
francium,
people who comment my blogs,
sharpie tattoos,
Hispanics,
rainy days,
singing in my new band This Sly Smile,
nature,
long roads that look like Hollywood stock footage,
reverse car passing,
rebuilding old bridges,
building new bridges,
taping my pants up with construction orange duct tape,
"EEHHRR,"
playing music to calm me down,
playing music to hype me up,
playing music to help me sleep,
listening to music to wake me up,
loving life,
nice people,
walks through Hernando at three in the morning,
the drive to Alachua,
Ibuprophen,
holding hands,
kissing in the rain,
biking miles from the house and getting stuck under a covered bench due to severe storms,
learning new things on the guitar,
pandas,
penguins,
BBC's Planet Earth,
CHEDDAR CHEESE BY ITSELF,
APPLE PIE,
DUMPLINGS,
nice long steamy showers,
things that follow showers,
things that precede showers,
things that create the necesity of a shower,
spicy soup,
spicy pasta,
spicy food in general,
anything Jenny cooks,
Jenny,
four-wheelers,
any major breakthrough in my music or writing,
Jenny,
Jennifer Harper,
Jennifer Elizabeth Harper,
sleeping in that back bedroom,
playing board games,
running my mouth off to mean people,
talking to their nicer halves,
Jenny,
condom boxes,
Jenny, and...uh...JENNY!!!
I love this girl that chose to be with me. Her name is Jenny Harper and she is one of the most incredible people I have ever met. Never have I been so comfortable around a girl as quickly as I have her. This last month has absolutely flown right by me, and I loved every second of it. Jenny, you are so beautiful/wonderful/sweet/crazy/funny/amazing and every second with you is breathtaking. You are my pingüina pequeña and I am your panda, and I love you!
