--- SUMMER 2009 UPDATE ---
LIVE 8 ... MAX for LIVE ... APC40
It's been a hot one, Phoenix! Actually, we've had quite an amazing summer here in the metro area... the monsoons will soon be falling upon us, bringing gorgeous desert storms and artistic inspiration for us all.
In the past couple of months we've seen the release of LIVE 8, and PLUG brought you a very special demonstration of the good stuff courtesy of Mike Holiday and Shane Silkey (with special thanks to 420 Roosevelt and Thru the Wires).
And the APC40 has hit the streets! In the coming weeks (think: near the end of July) we'll be hosting a User Group meeting dedicated specifically to this amazing new piece of hardware and what it brings to the Ableton Live experience.
Stay cool Arizona! And keep your eyes peeled for announcements re: upcoming meetings and promotional events!

it's that time again!
The next PLUG meeting will be Sunday 14 December @ 2PM (check your bulletins for the exact address, once again we'll be back at our usual location in Tempe).
We'll be focusing on a couple of our users' favorite software instruments, including the ever-popular d16 group's x0x emulators (and btw, they just happen to be running a group buy special right now).
This is also the opportunity to bring any questions you may have about the upcoming Southwest Regional Laptop Battle - the date has been set (17 January), don't be caught unprepared!

The next PLUG meeting will be Saturday 18 October (rescheduled from 11 October), same location as our last meet (in beautiful downtown Tempe AZ, address will be posted with the next announcement).
This time around we are going to be focusing on our User's favorite plugins, those that they rely and go back to again-and-again, and that they know inside-and-out, so that they can share some of their tricks with us all!
Fancy a particular instrument yourself? Know something about it that you want to share with the world? Bring your stuff and come on down! Or just show up prepared to soak it all in, it's gonna be one not to miss!
Also on the calendar: LAPTOP BATTLE! Time to start preparing!

The Phoenix PLUG Ableton meeting is officially back on the trizzack!! Come on down and hobknob with Phoenix's techno underground kingpins and knob twiddlers for an insightful evening investigating the ins and outs of Ableton's fantastic software LIVE!
Shane Silkey and members of the Are Friends Electrik? and Thru the Wires party crews host and lead this meeting which will feature presentations on integrating hardware into your Live setup among other topics.
BYOB, and BYOLaptop to plug in and learn the ropes with us!! The meeting is open and friendly to users of all abilities and comfort levels with the program. Even if you are a first-time user or just interested in getting into Live, come down and see what LIVE has to offer!!
