About Me

Take a deep breath. OK now brace yourself for an artist that only comes along once every decade. She is already buzzing in New York City amongst taste maker DJ’s as one of the hottest international acts to touch American ears. She’s a Pop/R&B songstress that goes from Hip-Hop/R&B ala Mary J. Blige to traditional Japanese Singing.  This young lady is well on her way to becoming an international pop star!....get ready for…… MANON Born in Tokyo, Japan a very young Asian princess embarked on a journey that would prepare Manon for what her future holds. During High school years at  Kirigaoka High School Manon began performing at school functions and soon festivals and clubs. Manon and her family mutually decided that her natural R&B singing style and talents could be developed further in the states. Manon’s first visit to America was as a student studying English at Washington University. She also attended a school in North Carolina and got a real feel for American life and music. She performed at talent shows with a natural star presence that could “bring the house down!” During her time in the states she quickly developed her voice working with vocal coaches and also began taking hip-hop dance classes.  Manon returned to Japan empowered with a hands on education of soul and pop music. Back in Japan Manon performed at many well known clubs throughout Tokyo like Club Asia, and Harlem in Tokyo. There has yet to be a Japanese artist to break into the mainstream in America.  Manon decided she wanted to stay in the States and make it in the “Big Apple”. She ambitiously began performing cover songs by artists like En Vogue, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey mixed in with her own songs. Manon has performed at Joes Pub, Club Exit, and the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, just to mention a few. During a rehearsal for a show at Broadway Dance Studios (Legendary NYC Dance School) Manon was scouted by two Label executives from Global Soul Entertainment, Inc. one of which happened to be innovative hip-hop R&B Pop producer Marcus “Bellringer” Bell. The New York Based Independent Record Label immediately signed Manon to a Production deal and began working on what is now one of the most outstanding records soon to be released in 2005. Manon was an ideal artist in line with the company concept of mixing traditional world music and culture with American Mainstream. The beautiful Manon has traveled back and forth between Japan where she has been working as a commercial model doing major modeling and commercial campaigns such as Verizon, Ginger Ale, Armed and Hummer, and Microsoft. These jobs soon landed to a film offer where Manon played the role of a Princess (naturally) in the Japanese action Comedy Theater “Samurai Sword Soul”.  During this time Manon continued recording with Producer “Bellringer” a fusion of Japanese sounds and American Pop. Manon sings in English and Japanese fluently. Her style is all of her own. A Japanese girl with Soul like Aretha Franklin, moves like Britney Spears, the realness of Mary J. Blige, vocal range like Mariah Carey and breath taking beauty…. MANON is what the world has been waiting for… © 2005 Global Soul Entertainment, Inc., New York, NY.
